Our company, Juchheim, has proudly carried its legacy in Japan for over a century. Its founder, Karl Juchheim, was a German man who was brought to Japan as a prisoner of war during World War I. After being released, he chose to stay—opening Japan’s first Western-style confectionery shop in Kobe, and spreading the delight of Baumkuchen throughout the country. Today, Baumkuchen may be even more beloved in Japan than in Germany, its birthplace. But imagine this: What if that same craftsmanship could be faithfully recreated by AI technology—allowing anyone, anywhere, at any time to enjoy freshly baked Baumkuchen? If that became possible, wouldn’t Baumkuchen find new life not in Japan, but once again in Germany? With our AI artisan robot, THEO, born from Japanese innovation, we hope to bring this vision to Germany and spark new energy in the German confectionery market. Because we truly believe that sweets have the power to bring peace to the world. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1f9cSb8BP3Q
