Promote career opportunities & Career development, towards this end, Organize trainings, workshops, seminars, conference, exhibitions and symposiums. Incubate, Mentor, motivate and channelize resources for start-ups. Connect with educational establishments run by Tamils, to share knowledge, experience and career counselling to students. Aid to create a global market for products and services of Tamil Engineers. Aid to create jobs and organize Job Fairs for Thamizh Engineers. Establish diplomatic channels with other organizations, universities, local bodies and government policy makers towards pursuing our vision missions and values. Recognize / felicitate eminent personalities who have substantial contributions for Engineering Community, Thamizh language, Thamizh Naadu by way of research & technology, social & political contributions. Maintain a continual connect with members by way of meetings, seminars, conferences and periodic publications.

About me

I am Shri B. Krishnamoorthy, a 2002-batch officer of the Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS) belonging to the Indian Civil Services.

  • I have held leadership roles in defence production, and since March 2025, I have been serving as the General Manager, AVNL, Ministry of Defence Production. I received the prestigious Ayudh Bhushan Award (2020) for my contributions to innovation and excellence in defence production.

  • From 2011 to 2017, I served in the Ministry of Shipping as Director and later as Executive Director in the Indian Ports Association, the apex body under the Ministry of Shipping. During this period, I contributed to key national initiatives such as the Sagarmala Programme, Inland Waterways development, and Cruise & Coastal Shipping. A major project under my leadership—the Indian Port Community System—won the National Digital India Award 2020 from the Hon’ble President of India.

  • Between September 2021 and March 2025, I served the Government of Tamil Nadu as Project Director at TIDCO, driving major initiatives under the Tamil Nadu Defence Industrial Corridor, and later as Commissioner, Rehabilitation & Welfare of Non-Resident Tamils, where I implemented schemes benefiting Sri Lankan Tamils and the global Tamil diaspora. I also successfully organised the World Tamil Diaspora Day in 2024 and 2025.

  • I have represented India on global platforms including the IMO (London), ILO (Geneva), and SAARC meetings in Singapore and Tokyo, and have participated in international port development programmes in Antwerp and Busan.
