Dr. Ir. Pramono Anung Wibowo, M.M.

Pramono Anung Wibowo (born on 11 June 1963) has served as the Governor of Jakarta since 20 February 2025.

Pramono is widely recognized as a technocratic political figure with nearly two decades of experience in government, rooted in a strong academic foundation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and a Master of Management from Gadjah Mada University (UGM). On 11 January 2013, he earned a doctoral degree in Political Communication from Padjadjaran University (Unpad). His public career began at the grassroots level when he joined the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P), marking the start of a long political journey.

He went on to be elected four times as a member of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI). His leadership was further recognized during the administration of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), when he was appointed as the Deputy Speaker of the DPR RI for the 2009–2014 period, marking an important milestone in his rise as a national political figure.
Pramono’s experience later expanded into the executive branch when he was appointed as the Cabinet Secretary of the Republic of Indonesia in President Joko Widodo’s administration, serving both in the Working Cabinet (2015) and the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet (2019). With a comprehensive background spanning legislative leadership, executive coordination, and strong academic credentials, Pramono Anung Wibowo now serves as the Governor of Jakarta, a role he will hold until 2030
